Barossa wine awarded a Wine Spectator Critics Choice Award for sixth time

First Drop Wines’ Mother’s Milk Shiraz, a wine that retails for just AUD $28, has been honoured with a Wine Spectator Critics’ Choice Award for the sixth time. The 2023 vintage will be recognised in New York City this Thursday, 22 October 2026, alongside many of the world’s most celebrated wines. Mother’s Milk has now been selected as a Critics’ Choice wine in 2016, 2017, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 — including four consecutive years. “Each award comes from a different vintage, a different growing season and a fresh assessment by Wine Spectator’s editors. Winning once is a mark of quality; winning six times is proof of a wine that delivers, year after year,” the winery said.
