Clare Valley provides update on 2026 season of resilience vintage

The Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association (CVWGA) is pleased to share a “confident outlook” on the 2026 vintage. CVWGA claims that early indicators are pointing to wines of “purity, balance and regional character, particularly for the Valley’s celebrated Riesling”. It claimed that the growing season presented a few challenges, with variable conditions requiring careful vineyard management and considered decision-making as harvest approached. CVWGA chair Olivia Hoffmann Barry said that the community has navigated a complex season with skill and patience. “The fruit that was harvested is showing excellent quality, with bright, well-defined flavours and a clear sense of regional character,” she said.
