Clos Des Ursules: the first 200 years of Louis Jadot’s flagship wine
This year special 200-year anniversary dinners have been staged in London and Burgundy for Clos Des Ursules, the flagship wine of Maison Louis Jadot. From a 1.25-hectare monopole located at the heart of the Beaune appellation which was purchased by Jadot 200 years ago, Clos Des Ursules is a Premier Cru wine of extraordinary beauty and ageing ability. Peter Dean attended the London celebration at Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay and talks to Maison Louis Jadot’s managing director, Thibault Gagey and winemaker Frédéric Barnier about this very special cuvée.
