Dan Murphys reveals the 2026 winners for the Best in Glass Wine Awards

Dan Murphy’s has announced the winners of the 2026 Best in Glass Wine Awards.Now in its second year, the program has “quickly established itself as a widely recognised authority on how Australians actually love to drink”, with the winners selected from a blind tasting of the entire Dan Murphy’s wine range. The eligibility criteria for the awards are that every wine must be widely available in Dan Murphy’s stores and retail for under $50, a process that Dan Murphy’s said ensures every trophy winner “is both accessible and affordable for the everyday consumer”. The winners are determined by the Dan Murphy’s Wine Merchants. Adelaide Hills producer Sidewood has celebrated being named the winner of the Best Pinot Gris/Grigio for its 2025 Sidewood Estate Pinot Gris. Meanwhile, Brown Brothers was awarded Best Prosecco under the sparkling category for its Prosecco Brut Reserve 750ml, a feat the winery said marked a “significant moment for both the brand and the broader Australian Prosecco category”.
