The Trade’s Take: Diving deep into the most important AOCs of the Côte de Nuits
Following on from our initial introductory look at Côte de Nuits, pinot noir's spiritual homeland, we are continuing with a more thorough – albeit trade-centric – overview of some of the appellations we believe all wine professionals should take some time to learn.
Why? Because these are the places consumers who love Bourgogne love to talk about. If you are able to join in the chat, not only will you be able to recommend wines better suited to their palates, but they will be more likely to come back time and time again.
Building relationships with consumers in store or venue is fundamental for all categories, but perhaps more so for a challenging, and often misunderstood bracket such as Bourgogne and premium imported wine, where consumers rely on sommeliers and retailers for guidance.
The following is by no means a comprehensive list, merely a snapshot of a few of the many Côte de Nuits appellations we feel are directly relevant to you: Australia’s drinks trade.
