Dan Murphy’s merchants name best sub-$50 wines

Dan Murphy’s has revealed the winners of its second annual Best in Glass Wine Awards, a judging program dedicated exclusively to wines ranged nationally and priced at $50 or less.

Unlike traditional shows, the competition is judged by Dan Murphy’s own Wine Merchants who take into account what it is the average wine consumer is searching for when they walk into a store.

As Andrew Shedden, Dan Murphy’s General Manager, puts it, “our customers often tell us that the hardest part of buying wine is the 'wall of choice'; walking in and not knowing where to start. These awards are about solving that problem.
