Brokenwood Wines wins second major trophy in a week

Hunter Valley winery Brokenwood received top honours at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s 19th annual President’s Medal Award Dinner on Monday night, outperforming the five other food and beverage finalists.

The President’s Medal Award follows less than one week behind the Hunter Valley Legends Awards, also in its 19th year, where Brokenwood Chief Winemaker Stuart Hordern was named Winemaker of the Year for a second time in three years. In the same awards, his father John was inducted as a Hunter Valley Wine Industry Living Legend.

Both awards follow on from Brokenwood's recognition last August as Halliday Wine Companion's Winery of the Year for 2026.

The President’s Medal Award differs to others based on its judging and selection process.
