Vinexpo Asia: Hong Kong reaffirms its place as Asia’s premier wine & spirits trade hub

Organised by Vinexposium, the event drew 14,273 trade professionals from 76 markets (up from 59 in 2024) and 38 producing countries (up from 35), with nine new nations making their debut: Austria, Belgium, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Tunisia and Uruguay.

The numbers tell a clear story of sustained international confidence in Asian markets. Seventy-five percent of attendees came from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Japan, South Korea and other mature markets, while Southeast Asian participation (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) continued to grow. Hong Kong’s role as the zero-duty gateway to Greater China and the broader region was front and centre, with strong institutional backing from the Hong Kong Tourism Board and an official opening by Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Dr Bernard Chan.
