gBSAs second Wine and Paint Night a great success!
The Graduate Biochemistry Student Association (gBSA) recently hosted a Wine and Paint Night, an evening of creativity and connection enjoyed by Chemistry and Biochemistry graduate students and post-docs. Held in Boyer Hall 159, the event provided a welcoming space for attendees to unwind, socialize, and express themselves artistically. Team “Cysteine Chapel,” including graduate students Alex Turmon and Halime Yilmaz, pose for a photo of the beginnings of their masterpieces. A team of first year graduate students, including Ethan Wendell, Brooke Morales, Caroline Vanegas, Katherine Zhang, and Chris George, showcase their artistic talent. Photos below – Teams showing progress of their artwork. By the end of the evening, teams proudly presented their finished works for an audience vote for the title of “Most Artistic in the Department” and a bottle of wine, with members of the Gutierrez Lab winning. The event was a great success, and thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night so special—we look forward to seeing everyone at future gBSA events! The winning team includes members from the Gutierrez Lab – Emilio Cardenas, Macayla Guerrero, Adhya Suresh, Deborshee Das, and Hanshika Arya.
