Grant Burge Wines takes top honour at 50th Barossa Wine Show Awards

The 2026 Barossa Wine Show Awards Presentation Lunch was held on Friday 18 September at Château Tanunda, with Vinarchy’s Grant Burge Wines taking the top honour of ‘Best Barossa Wine’ with its 2024 Grant Burge Balthasar Shiraz. Organisers said the 2024 Grant Burge Balthasar Shiraz was a standout of the show, also claiming the trophies for ‘Best Red Wine’ and ‘Best Shiraz’. Another major winner was Treasury Wine Estates’ Leo Buring, with the 2022 Leonay Mature Release Riesling claiming the titles of ‘Best 2025 & Older Riesling’, ‘Best White Wine’ and ‘Best Single Vineyard Wine’. First held in 1977, the Barossa Wine Show celebrated its 50th year in 2026, “continuing its role as the region’s most important annual wine event”.
