Heathcote Wine Show results revealed with strong Shiraz showings and exciting alternative varieties

The winners of the Heathcote Wine Show have been revealed following judging taking place 5-7 August. More than 230 entries were submitted and assessed by a panel of judges led by chair of judges, Jen Pfeiffer. “As to be expected, the Shiraz wines were very strong, with the strength of the 2024, 2025 and 2022 vintages particularly on display, but it was the White Wine and Red Wine (Rhone) & Red Wine (Iberian/Italian) classes that genuinely excited the judges,” Pfeiffer said. After impressive showings and consistent gold medal in previous years at the Heathcote Wine Show, Buckshot Vineyard was awarded ‘Wine of Show’, ‘Best Shiraz’, ‘Best Single Vineyard Wine’ and ‘Best Young Shiraz’ with its Buckshot Vineyard Heathcote Shiraz 2024.
