Hirsch Wine Group launches South American inspired brand featuring lesser-known varietals
The Hirsch Wine Group has launched its new brand of South American inspired ‘lesser-known’ varietals La Chica Con Tina to high praise, with wine critic duo Master of Wine Meg Brodtmann and Mel Gilcrist ranking it in their Top 10 wines of 2025. Translated from Spanish as ‘The Girl With Tattoos’, the brand features two unique varietals – a “vibrant” Arinto and a medium-bodied Garnacha. Hirsch Wine Group said that the wines intend to showcase how Old-World grapes can flourish under Australian skies to produce bold and individual styles. The Arinto and Garnacha grapes are crafted in small batches from “carefully selected parcels” in Heathcote, a region in Victoria known for its ancient soils and generous sunshine
