Orora working to maintain supply after UAE plant pause

A spokesperson for Orora has reassured customers that its Saverglass business is working to minimise disruptions and maintain supply following the decision to pause glass production at its UAE facility two weeks ago. As reported by The Financial Review, the Ras al Khaimah (RAK) plant production was redirected to Mexico after the conflict in the Middle East “closed shipping routes and made overland routes inaccessible”. Speaking to Daily Wine News, the spokesperson said that the RAK plant furnace has been transitioned to a hot closed-loop production, meaning that the furnace will remain warm with no bottle production taking place.
