Phenolic Fingerprints Trace Spanish Red Wines to Origin and Grape Variety

Chemists quantified 22 phenolic compounds in 150 Spanish red wines and used chemometric models to classify them by Protected Designation of Origin and grape variety with errors as low as 4.3 percent.
