SIMEI launches new Bevertech exhibition to expand coverage of beverage and liquid food industry

Italy's wine technology sector continues to dominate globally, accounting for nearly half of the world's wine machinery market, as exhibition SIMEI expands beyond its traditional wine focus with the launch of the new Bevertech exhibition. Bevertech is dedicated to processing and packaging technologies for the wider beverage and liquid food industry. The two events will take place simultaneously at Fiera Milano from 17-20 November 2026, bringing together suppliers and producers from across the wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks, olive oil and liquid food sectors. According to research conducted by MECS (Manufacturing Economic Studies), the combined global market for beverage and liquid food processing and packaging machinery is worth €44.6 billion. Of this total, €16.7 billion relates to sectors traditionally covered by SIMEI, including wine, beer, spirits and olive oil, whilst €27.9 billion comes from the broader beverage and liquid food industries represented by the new Bevertech exhibition.
