The Buyer | Geoffrey Dean: enotourism delights in Switzerland’s Vaud region
The Swiss canton of Vaud is a wine tourist’s delight with six AOCs to explore, as well as multiple outdoor pursuits. Chasselas, Gamaret and Pinot Noir are the staple grapes but, with a winemaking tradition spanning more than four centuries, there are plenty of obscure wines made from hybrids to discover such as Galotta and Garanoir.
