Despite the downturn in the UK market, Mentzendorff is growing its team, taking advantage of what they see as opportunities in the field. Justin Liddle and Christine Allen explained the thinking behind the move and presented a range of exciting new wines, fortifieds and spirits from existing and newbie producers at this year's grand portfolio tasting. Ellie Scott was there for the buyer and tasted through the new lines which include a white port made to be mixed, a ready made Manzanilla spritz and a new cognac that has been distilled with mixologists in mind.
