The wines are just getting better in the Hunter Valley

Last Friday, 16 Hunter Valley producers were celebrated with trophies at the 2026 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show luncheon at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. The 54th show featured 69 exhibitors and 652 entries, judged over three days at Singleton Showground, assisted by the School of Infantry and led by a panel chaired by Toni Paterson MW. Merrick Watts hosted the luncheon as master of ceremonies and Dr Jamie Goode from the UK was welcomed as international judge. “The Hunter Valley has this beautiful historical thread, and its location is quite unique, so when you come here and taste the wines you discover this place is producing some fantastic wines,” said Goode. Returning for her second year as chair, Toni Paterson said her main takeaway was that the wines are “just getting better”.
