Two new directors appointed to Wine Australia Board

The federal government has revealed that two new directors have been appointed to the Wine Australia Board. Darryn Hakof and Stephen Strachan have been appointed for three-year terms and are set to “help strengthen Wine Australia’s role in supporting Australia’s wine sector to respond to emerging opportunities and challenges across domestic and international markets”. The government said the appointments will “ensure Wine Australia has the leadership and expertise needed to support industry through this period of transition and opportunity”. Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Julie Collins MP, said that the two bring valuable skills, experience and industry knowledge. “These new directors will help Wine Australia support grapegrowers and winemakers to respond to current challenges and new opportunities in domestic and export markets.” Australian Grape & Wine (AGW) has welcomed the appointment of the two directors.
