WA to showcase acclaimed and emerging wines in Brisbane

Over 35 wineries will bring more than 150 wines from Western Australia’s wine regions to Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves on 18 August 2026 for a showcase in Queensland. The showcase titled ‘Exhilarating Wines from Western Australia – Brisbane’ will feature acclaimed and emerging wineries from Margaret River, Great Southern, Swan Valley, Pemberton, Blackwood Valley and Geographe, together for one day of tasting experiences, with various events for wine professionals and consumers. Wines of Western Australia said that nearly all participating wineries are family-owned and operated, with many making fewer than 3,000 cases annually. Winery owners and winemakers will make the trip to personally connect with Queenslanders, “offering wine lovers the rare opportunity to discover revered wines and small-batch releases seldom seen outside Western Australia”.
