Wine Tasmania urges community cooperation as harvest kicks off for 2026

The 2026 Tasmanian vintage harvest has begun, with vineyards and wineries “humming with excitement” across the state as the very first grapes are transported to wineries. With harvest being the most sensitive stage of the season, Wine Tasmania’s viticulture and winemaking officer Paul Smart implores landholders to collaborate with nearby vineyards if planning burns.
