Winery restaurants dominate Michelin Guide debut in SA
More than 70 South Australian restaurants have become the first in the nation to be recognised by the world-renowned Michelin Guide, including a total of six winery-based restaurants. Following months of anonymous inspections, five winery restaurants have been awarded one Michelin star, including: Anvers Restaurant, Maxwell Restaurant, Hently Farm, LVN Restaurant at Bird in Hand and Skillogalee Barrel House. Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant was the only restaurant to receive two Michelin stars. South Australia’s debut in the Michelin Guide marks the first time any Australian destination has been featured in the “global culinary bible”. Premier Peter Malinauskas called it a historic moment for South Australia.
