Y Series taps into changing consumer habits with Sunset Red

South Australian brand Y Series has launched ‘Sunset Red’, a new Shiraz aimed at targeting changing wine drinking occasions. Y Series said that Sunset Red “taps into a growing appetite among Millennials and Gen Z for fresher, brighter red styles that feel modern and approachable”. The winery explained that the wine goes well with “your favourite Thai takeaway or sticky BBQ port ribs”, as opposed to the traditional combination of steak and Shiraz. It also claimed that, whilst Shiraz is traditionally served at room temperature, Sunset Red can be enjoyed as it is or slightly chilled for a “refreshing twist to the classic varietal”.
