Victorian winery wins big at 2026 Saint Martin Oak Great Australian Shiraz Challenge
Victoria’s Jack Rabbit Vineyard has come out on top at the 2026 Saint Martin Oak Great Australian Shiraz Challenge, winning the ‘Best Shiraz of Show Trophy’ as well as the ‘Sanector Trophy for Best Victorian Shiraz’ with its 2025 Jack Rabbit Vineyard Shiraz. “Jack Rabbit Vineyard has triumphed in 2026, this is the first time a wine from the Bellarine Peninsula has won the coveted Best Shiraz of Show Trophy,” said event director Julian McLean. This year’s event marks the 32nd edition of the challenge and garnered support from a total of 49 regions across the country. Organisers noted fierce competition particularly from the McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Margret River regions.
